Welcome to the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association website.

The Ohio Employment Lawyers Association (OELA) members are attorneys who dedicate 70% or more of their employment practice to representing people, not companies. OELA attorneys vindicate employee rights, such as discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge.

The OELA website offers:

  • the OELA employment rights library for the public;
  • News, Alerts and Articles; and
  • Member's only services, including a brief bank, newsletters and a powerful listserve.

OELA is a state affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association (or "NELA").

You must be a current OELA member and you must also register for access to the Members Only areas of this website before you can access those areas. To join OELA, click the "Join Us" link.

If you are a member and need to register, change your registration, find your password, access the brief bank or use any of the features of this site, contact the Ohio Employment Lawyer Association's Website Administrator, Neil Klingshirn.

For matters pertaining to pending legislation, click on the "Legislative Alerts" link.

The information and services provided by the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association on this web site are not intended to be relied upon as legal advice, but are provided strictly for information and education purposes. Employment law is an especially complicated area and the facts of any particular employment situation will have an impact upon how the law is applied to that situation. If you have questions or require legal advice, then you should retain or talk to an attorney for that purpose. There are OELA members throughout the State of Ohio who are more than willing to sit down with you to discuss your particular situation.
